In 2018, the government decided that electricity network companies in Sweden must replace or upgrade all electric meters to modern smart meters with improved functions before 2025.
All new electric meters installed in Sweden must have the customer interface HAN-P1/ RJ12. Through HAN-P1 you get instant access to, for example, meter readings, active power, and reactive power.
